Just like my favorite ex-patriates, I am now
And thus summer begins. No more work until I move back to Ann Arbor (August 17th).
This weekend I voyage out of the district for visiting (!!!!!) and then next Tuesday I return for Tourism 101. General Sherman arrives from the South Tuesday and my parents arrive Thursday. I leave the district next Saturday.
Soon I will post photographs of my summer with highlights including the Cocktail Party, the Hookah Bar, and um, I guess some other stuff.
But now I must relinquish the computer...
I feel like a hideous tool. I wish I were lying about that.

Oh annie, i miss you and love you, Erin just called me and i told her of my plans to stalk you at work when I return home.
I will be back in Southfield on the 7th at the latest - and will be there until the 17th - I intend to have people over for a soiree one of those nights - and i intend on seeing you multiple times and meeting your beau.

it just so happens that the 7th is when i too will be coming home, but only from galesburg michigan. i think that at the VERY least one soiree is necessary. and hopefully brett and i can figure out a time for him to visit when you are here. his work schedule is kind of odd and makes traveling difficult sometimes. but hey, if it doesnt work, youll just have to visit kzoo again! and we can always come see you, too! but meeting is definitely in order.

Oh yes, I have been reading all about Zelda's crazy crazy life in a book called "Bobbed Hair and Bathtub Gin" (obviously a scholarly novel, if you couldn't tell by the title). Zelda's death was probably the worst of all the flapper women - lobotomized by order of her depressed husband, then hospitalized, and then killed in a hospital fire.I am jealous of your first edition, happy birthday!
